I began as a designer in 2006 working for a digital agency and acquired a range of skills as a developer, client liaison and a junior user experience consultant. I am an efficient at multitasking and I pay close attention to detail when coding websites, ensuring my work is up to W3C Standards and the best examples of usability and accessibility.
I manage the workflow and create processes to improve efficiency, consistency and minimise rework. As a developer I have worked on several projects such as content and information architecture refreshes, campaigns and site releases. I am also responcible for building and maintaining the new mobile content site.
At BP I assisted in launching the Careers, Technology and Sustainability sections of the BP Global website in 2010. I worked with a third party to upgrade the BP XML templates to be inline with W3C standards as well as upgrading the sites resolution to 1024 from 800 by 600 resolution.
I lead the development of the BBA Avaiation website and assisted with the template build for Savills website. I also worked on projects for Slaughters and May, KPMG, Ernst and Young Spring Campaign and BP. While freelancing for SAS Design I updated and created XHTML, XML and CSS layouts.
I was responsible for the layout design of content, front–end development and content entry of the Tesco Magazine – Online edition, November – December 2009
During my first contract at BP I helped launch a series of reports on the BP website such as the 2009 Sustainability report, Financial review and Statistical review. I liaised with third party companies to provide design and development solutions for the BP website such as SAS Design and WIPRO.
I helped improve:
- Accessibility standards with custom XHTML fixes;
- Create new process documents to manage complex XML Flash Tools; and
- Improve the team’s development skills and understanding of XHTML/CSS and accessibility guidelines.
